Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BrainArena, including the website, the quiz creation tools, and the multiplayer battle features (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you should have a parent or guardian review these Terms with you before you sign up.

You can create an account with an email and password, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed your account without permission.

Usernames must not impersonate another person, brand, or public figure, and must not contain offensive or misleading content.

When using BrainArena, you agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's copyright.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or send unwanted messages to other players in lobby chat.
• Attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, or interfere with scoring, leaderboards, or the coin economy.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, plan restrictions, or security measures, or overload the Service.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Service outside of normal gameplay.
• Upload material containing malware, or content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

You can generate a quiz by typing a topic, or, on the Plus and Pro plans, by uploading study material such as a PDF, a DOCX file, or a photo of your notes. You keep ownership of any material you upload. By uploading it, you give us permission to store it in private storage and to process it (including sending the extracted text to third party AI providers) solely to generate quiz questions for you.

Please do not upload documents containing sensitive personal information (such as national ID numbers, financial account details, or medical records) or content you are not permitted to share.

Quiz questions are generated using an AI model based on the topic or material you provide. AI generated content can occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or miscategorized (for example, difficulty or correctness of an answer). BrainArena is meant for casual practice and fun, not as an authoritative academic source. Please use your own judgment, especially when studying for a graded exam.

BrainArena offers a free plan and paid plans (currently Plus and Pro) with higher daily generation limits and additional modes. Paid plans are billed in Nigerian Naira through our payment processor, Paystack, on a monthly or annual recurring basis, until you cancel.

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Pricing page. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law. We do not store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Paystack.

After you cancel, you keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, your paid features may be paused until payment succeeds. Each plan has limits, such as daily quiz generations, questions per quiz, and uploads, and we may change plan features and limits from time to time.

Coins are earned by playing and can be spent in the in-app Store on cosmetic items, such as avatar frames and streak freezes. Coins and store items have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. We may adjust coin rewards, prices, or the store catalog at any time.

BrainArena's name, logo, design, and code are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what is needed to use the Service normally.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy, cancels any paid subscription immediately, and does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that AI generated content will always be accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
